About the Role
The Residential Driver is the face of GFL Environmental on the road, responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously delivering waste removal services to our customers. This role is vital to our mission of sustainability, ensuring that solid waste and recyclables are collected from curbside and backdoor locations and transported to post-collection facilities with care.
As a Residential Driver, your day involves navigating designated routes to collect waste using rear-load, split body, curotto, or automated-side load trucks. You will operate mechanical packers to compact trash, maneuver vehicles into tight clearance spaces, and utilize GPS and key maps to locate service addresses. Beyond driving, you serve as a customer service representative, interacting politely with the public to answer questions and resolve issues. You will also maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness by performing daily vehicle inspections, adhering to DOT and OSHA regulations, and ensuring the work area remains free of debris.

Requirements
