About the Role

The Residential Driver plays a vital role in our mission by safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services. You will be the face of GFL on the road, collecting solid waste or recyclables on curbside and/or backdoor routes and transporting them to post-collection facilities.

Your day involves driving designated trucks (rear-load, split body, curotto, or automated-side load) along specific routes. You will interact with customers and the general public, answering questions and responding to requests with professionalism. Beyond driving, you will ensure the safety and cleanliness of your route by managing loose debris, performing daily vehicle inspections, and adhering to strict safety and operational policies. You will also utilize GPS and key maps to navigate service addresses and operate mechanical packers to compact waste efficiently.
