This position serves as the backbone of our distribution center's operational continuity. You will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and repair of a wide array of equipment, including lift trucks, mobile machinery, and building fixtures. Your work ensures that our logistics operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Beyond technical repairs, you will be a vital part of our culture by modeling our core values: respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. You will play a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment for all team members.
Your day involves a dynamic mix of hands-on mechanical work and strategic planning. You will diagnose and repair complex issues on hydraulic systems, air compressors, and electrical infrastructure, often utilizing welding and fabrication skills to restore aluminum and steel structures. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to preventative maintenance, where you monitor equipment parameters and input critical data into our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to predict and prevent future failures.
You will also manage inventory for spare parts and tools, ensuring that necessary resources are always on hand. Whether you are troubleshooting a battery charger, repairing a pallet jack, or addressing building maintenance needs like plumbing and electrical systems, your ability to interpret technical diagrams and operate diagnostic equipment will be essential. Collaboration with peers and clear communication are daily requirements as you work to resume production operations quickly and safely.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to demonstrate a strong foundation in technical skills and a commitment to safety. The selection process focuses on verifying practical experience with heavy machinery and building maintenance systems.
We are committed to fostering a workplace built on respect, diversity, and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background and are dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations to enable all employees to perform the essential functions of this position.
