This position serves as a vital link between our warehouse operations and our walk-in customers. Unlike high-volume distribution centers where full pallets are moved exclusively by forklift, this role operates in a customer-facing, non-distribution environment. The core mission is to support daily operations by manually picking mixed-size orders, stocking product, and ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, and staged.
You will be the face of the warehouse at the will call counter, assisting customers with locating items and loading orders into their vehicles. This is a hands-on role that combines the duties of a retail curbside order picker, a floor associate, and a stocker. Success in this position requires a unique blend of manual dexterity, attention to detail regarding part numbers and bin locations, and the comfort to interact directly with the public.
Your day will be defined by variety and physical activity. You will manually pull orders using hands, carts, and ladders, ensuring every item is verified by part number without the use of RF scanners. You will receive inbound shipments, verify their accuracy, and place them in the correct locations. A significant portion of your time will be spent at heights up to 20 feet operating an order picker to access inventory.
While the primary focus is manual order picking, you will occasionally operate a forklift if needed. The environment demands a clean, organized, and safe workspace, with a constant eye on inventory accuracy and material handling. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting where no two days are exactly the same, balancing the precision of inventory management with the warmth of customer service.
We are looking for candidates who understand the specific nature of this hybrid role. Please note that individuals whose experience is limited solely to driving a forklift or working in full-pallet distribution environments may not be the ideal fit. We value candidates with a background in warehouse environments that combine order pulling, customer interaction, and stocking.
