The Vice President, Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance role is designed to plan, execute, and complete the Company's external financial reporting and regulatory compliance processes. Operating with a high level of independence, you will partner closely with the SVP, Financial Reporting to drive technical accounting expertise, project management, and people leadership.
In this position, you will oversee end-to-end regulatory reporting activities, including the Call Report, FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FR 2900, FR Y-6, and BIC reports. You will play a key role in disclosure governance, technical accounting conclusions, and the implementation of new regulatory guidance. Beyond reporting, you will lead the optimization of reporting software, manage relationships with internal auditors, communicate directly with regulators, and develop a high-performing financial reporting team. This role is critical to ensuring our organization operates in strict accordance with all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations.
You will lead the planning, execution, and completion of all external financial reporting activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant filings. Your day will involve preparing and reviewing regulatory reports, serving as a key point of contact for regulator inquiries, and drafting materials for disclosure and audit committees. You will research emerging accounting and regulatory developments to proactively advise senior management on potential impacts.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to governance and controls, maintaining documentation standards, and supporting FDICIA and SOX 404 financial reporting controls. You will serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, internal audit, and regulators. As a leader, you will manage, mentor, and develop financial reporting managers and staff, overseeing work allocation, performance evaluations, and hiring decisions. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with the SVP, Financial Reporting, the Chief Accounting Officer, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on disclosures and timely issue resolution.

This typically includes a series of interviews with key stakeholders, including the SVP, Financial Reporting and the Chief Accounting Officer, to discuss specific regulatory scenarios and team management strategies.
