At Synchrony, we offer flexibility, allowing you to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training, and culture events. As a key member of the Credit team, you will steward the critical fraud and credit data sources that drive analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making. Your mission is to ensure these datasets are accurate, complete, and delivered on time in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will design and maintain fraud analytics solutions using SAS, building and optimizing the data pipelines that enable detection, investigation, and reporting.
In this role, you will partner with Data Engineering and Technology teams to maintain data definitions, mappings, and lineage for high-impact datasets. You will also support large-scale migrations, including platform modernization and data warehouse upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions through requirements gathering, validation, and production cutover support.

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or any Quantitative field. Ability to lead projects by influencing and aligning team members who are not direct reports. Proven experience with large-scale migrations, conversions, or modernization efforts (data, platforms, or analytics tooling). Experience with SAS Viya Cloud Environment. Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data ecosystems. Proven experience using Copilot and other generative AI tools and solutions to improve productivity and outcomes. Proven hands-on experience utilizing open-source tools such as R and Python. Ability to effectively delegate projects, project negotiation skills and skills to coach junior members on the team.
