The Vice President, Dental Industry & Partnerships Leader serves as a pivotal external ambassador for Synchrony, driving strategic growth across the dental ecosystem. Reporting to the SVP of Independent Market & Expansion, this role is designed to accelerate market expansion, deepen industry relationships, and elevate the CareCredit/Synchrony brand within the dental community.
You will act as a senior leader, building trusted partnerships with associations, Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), strategic technology partners, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The core mission is to translate these high-level relationships into high-impact programs, pilots, and measurable business outcomes. This position leads a team of dental professionals, working cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, credit, and operations to connect strategy to execution and deliver sustained growth and industry influence.
Synchrony is proud to offer flexibility in how we work. Our approach allows you the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities, such as regular business or team meetings, training, and culture events.

Eligibility & Legal Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this opening. As part of the onboarding process, candidates must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints. Additionally, all candidates must satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Internal Mobility
Internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have manager approval to post for other roles. Time-in-position requirements vary by level: new hires (Level 4-7) require 9 months of continuous service before posting, followed by a minimum of 6 months in the current role before posting for non-exempt roles. Employees at Level 8 or greater must have at least 18 months in their current position before posting.

Advanced degree (MBA, DDS/DMD, or equivalent). Deep knowledge of the dental/healthcare ecosystem (providers, DSOs, associations, education networks, and specialties). Strong understanding of consumer lending/financing products. Ability to navigate the dental technology landscape and anticipate trends.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred; DDS/DMD preferred.
