The Montana Heritage Commission (MHC) is dedicated to preserving and managing historic resources in Virginia City and Nevada City, promoting the appreciation of history through quality visitor experiences. The MHC is seeking seasonal short-term workers for positions lasting no more than 90 workdays. This role is integral to the visitor experience, requiring availability for weekends and extended hours from mid-May through Labor Day.
As a Visitor Service Associate, you will operate across three key historic locations: the Virginia City Depot, the Nevada City Museum, and the Alder Gulch Shortline Railroad. You will serve as the face of the MHC, greeting visitors, sharing local history, and managing ticket sales and merchandise. The position involves rotating schedules and varied shifts to ensure seamless operations across all venues.
To support our seasonal team, shared housing is provided for employees who commit to the full season ending on Labor Day.
