About the Role
The VP of Underwriting & Sales Contract Surety serves as a strategic leader within the Commercial Contract Surety division, driving growth across multiple distribution channels including Managing General Agents, Brokers, Independent Agents, and Internet Affinity partners. This executive position is designed to unify underwriting expertise with aggressive sales strategies, ensuring the expansion of key surety bond products such as Bid, Construction, Performance, Payment, and Maintenance bonds.
In this role, you will lead both internal and external sales teams, setting the strategic direction for field sales efforts and identifying new methods of distribution. You will oversee program development, building the necessary tools and communication touchpoints to align with agency development priorities. The position requires a deep understanding of territory management, expansion, and the cultivation of new partnerships with insurance carriers, aggregators, and online quoting services. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing team to manage online content, SEO, and advertising strategies to drive business growth.
