About the Role
The VP Underwriting & Sales Contract Surety leads the strategic direction for commercial contract surety programs in Shawnee, KS. This executive position is responsible for driving comprehensive sales strategies across multiple channels, including Managing General Agents, Brokers, Independent Agents, and Internet Affinity partners. The role focuses on expanding the sales footprint for key surety products such as Bid, Construction, Performance, Payment, and Maintenance bonds.
As a leader, you will direct and develop staff by setting goals, providing coaching, and managing performance evaluations. The role involves overseeing territory management, identifying new distribution methods, and collaborating with the Marketing team to optimize online content and advertising strategies. You will also drive contract negotiations and the onboarding of new agency and sales partners to ensure alignment with agency development priorities.
