This highly visible, collaborative position serves as the driving force behind securing all new business within a rapidly developing market. As a leader in Surety Risk Underwriting, you will manage a national book of business encompassing Commercial, Contract, Fidelity, Non-Standard, and Court Bonds. Your mission is to drive underwriting excellence while ensuring continued profitability, growth, and operational efficiency.
You will act as a key partner to business units in Risk Control, Actuarial, Claims, Worldwide Operations, and Compliance. In this capacity, you will assess risk tolerance and market appetite, evaluate underwriting performance, and ensure strict adherence to authority delegation and audit criteria. The role requires providing expert support in developing underwriting and training tools while maintaining strong relationships with brokers, agents, and customers.
