About the Role

As a Veterinary Assistant at Echo Park Veterinary Hospital, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, supporting veterinarians and technicians to ensure the Ultimate Care Experience for every pet, client, and time. You will deliver quality care for all patients while providing exceptional service to the community.

Your day will involve a dynamic mix of clinical and administrative tasks. You will greet patients and their owners, triage cases, and perform physical exams and treatments as directed. You will be responsible for the comfort and safety of our patients, calming anxious animals, assisting with restraint, and administering medications. Your role extends to maintaining the hospital's operational excellence by preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, operating specialized equipment like EKGs and anesthetic monitors, and performing laboratory tests and radiographs. Additionally, you will foster trust with clients by communicating positively, educating them on wellness plans, and ensuring they feel comfortable leaving their pets in our care.
