Fairgrounds Animal Hospital, known as the biggest little clinic in Reno, is a well-established and growing 4-doctor practice deeply rooted in the community. Our team includes four Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) who are committed to ongoing learning and development. We offer a wide range of veterinary services, from wellness exams and annual vaccines to dental care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, and urgent care. Our facility is equipped with an in-house lab, digital full-body X-rays, dental radiography, ultrasound, intra-oral cameras, laser therapy, and a paperless record system through Cornerstone. We also utilize high-grade anesthetic monitoring equipment, including doppler, capnography, ECG, and pulse oximetry.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will support our doctors and technicians by assisting with patient restraint, setting up for procedures, and keeping the treatment area clean and organized throughout the day. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in patient care and handling who enjoys working closely with clients and their pets.
In this fast-paced environment, you will help take radiographs, assist in surgery, draw blood, administer injections, process laboratory samples, and care for hospitalized patients. The ideal candidate is compassionate, attentive to detail, and comfortable in a collaborative setting where teamwork and communication are essential.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule. Availability is needed Monday through Saturday.
