The Vascular Access RN serves as a critical partner to physicians, the Emergency Department, ICU teams, and bedside nurses, ensuring safe and timely vascular access across acute care units. This role is designed to provide expert insertion and management of IVs, PICCs, and central lines, utilizing ultrasound guidance and strict aseptic technique to minimize complications and ensure device patency.
In this position, you will not only perform complex procedures but also act as an educator for both staff and patients. You will guide teams on line care, infection prevention, and safe IV therapy practices, while maintaining accurate documentation of all procedures and outcomes in the EHR. Whether supporting emergency teams with urgent needs or managing complex vascular access plans, you will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of quality and safety within our health system.
