As a Steward/Dishwasher, you are the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. Your role is vital to the guest experience, as a spotless kitchen directly supports our commitment to hospitality.
In this position, you will prioritize loads of various crockery, hand-wash items that do not fit in the dishwasher, and manage the loading and unloading of dish machines. You will be responsible for placing dishes to dry, sorting and putting away clean items, and performing prep work. Additionally, you will handle waste disposal, assist with bussing tables when needed, and thoroughly wash work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors. You will also assemble, maintain, and break down the dish machine as required.
Beyond the technical duties, you are expected to embody our culture of hospitality. This includes greeting every guest with a smile and using their names whenever possible, even while cleaning. You will work collaboratively with the team to pitch in on cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed, ensuring the entire hotel remains organized and safe. Clear, honest, and professional communication is key, and you will be expected to maintain a "can-do" attitude, stretching beyond traditional role boundaries to meet the needs of the business and our guests.
Candidates with experience in hospitality, service, or consumer-facing franchises are preferred. We look for individuals with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines. A flexible schedule is required, with availability for days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on hotel demands. Punctuality is essential; employees must clock in and out on time for all shifts and breaks.
