About the Role

HBK Engineering is seeking a Utility Locator to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role is vital to our mission of protecting utility networks and ensuring safe construction environments. You will be responsible for locating and marking underground facilities using various industry tools, standards, and methods, including locating devices and utility maps.

As a Utility Locator, you will serve as a firm and client liaison, facilitating communication and project coordination. Your day-to-day involves working in all weather conditions to record documentation, identify errors and omissions, and verify the location of all client facilities within specified dig extents. You will also examine and investigate damages, create required documentation for compliance, and watch and protect client facilities as directed for safety and security. This position offers a clear career progression pathway within the HBK Organization's Locating Track, providing a foundation for advancing to senior locating and utility coordination roles.
