Our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots. Today, our employees are located at our three major campuses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, Jacksonville, Florida, Rochester, Minnesota, and at Mayo Clinic Health System campuses throughout Midwestern communities, and at our international locations. Each Mayo Clinic location is a special place where employees thrive in both their work and personal lives.
The Urology Technician serves as a vital support member within the urology team, providing essential care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings across the St. Marys campus and the downtown/Methodist campus. Through didactic and supervised practice, this role acquires the knowledge and skills necessary to perform urinary catheterizations, urinary drainage tube irrigations, and ultrasonic bladder scanning. A key component of the position involves reinforcing home-going education related to self-catheterization or urinary drainage tube management.
In this dynamic environment, the technician responds to calls as needed, pushing a mobile supply cart from call to call. The role requires the ability to work independently and adapt to unpredictable fluctuations in workload volume within a 24/7 work unit. The position operates on a day (6am-2:30pm) and evening (2pm-10:30pm) rotation schedule, with coverage required every other weekend and every other holiday.
Mayo Clinic is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status. Mayo Clinic participates in E-Verify and may provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
