The Underground Mining Engineer serves as a pivotal architect of safe and efficient extraction operations. This position is dedicated to the planning, design, optimization, and execution of underground mining activities, ensuring that ore is recovered productively and cost-effectively while adhering to the highest standards of safety, ground control, and environmental stewardship.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical feasibility and operational reality. You will be responsible for developing mine layouts, production schedules, and performance forecasts from first principles. Your work directly influences the success of drilling, blasting, ventilation, and haulage systems. Beyond technical design, you will act as a technical guide for operations personnel and junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strict compliance with MSHA, local, and company safety regulations.
