We are seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to support operations in Oklahoma, OK. In this role, you will serve as the first line of defense, ensuring the safety and security of our facilities and personnel. You will be responsible for providing professional customer service while maintaining a constant state of situational awareness.
Your day will involve inspecting vehicles and identifying individuals, distinguishing between valid and counterfeit identification badges. You will process employee and vehicle access efficiently, aiming to keep wait times under five minutes. A key part of your duties includes identifying articles that violate weapons or contraband policies, making critical decisions to detain or deny access as necessary. You will also monitor the Mike Monroney Internet Network to access security systems, log incidents clearly, and report traffic abnormalities to your supervisor.
This position requires the ability to remain mentally and physically alert for up to twelve hours, often standing for extended periods in varying weather conditions. You must be prepared to respond to emergencies, subdue potentially violent individuals, and provide emergency First Aid/CPR if needed. The role involves frequent contact with the general public, law enforcement, and dispatch centers, requiring clear communication and composure during stressful confrontations.
Applicants will be notified via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submission. As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required for access to military installations.
