About the Role
Access Control personnel serve as the frontline defense for the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) at MDA facilities located on Redstone Arsenal. This role is critical to executing multiple Security Operations Services, ensuring the safety of personnel, equipment, and materials within protected areas.
The position involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm of managing building access, conducting rigorous security inspections, and operating advanced screening equipment such as magnetometers and X-ray machines. Beyond routine access control, team members act as first responders during emergencies, coordinating with medical personnel, fire departments, and law enforcement while administering CPR, AED, and First Aid as needed. The role requires constant vigilance to maintain security integrity and immediate reporting of any policy violations to the Shift Supervisor or Security Control Center.
