TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. Our core mission is to move new vehicles safely and efficiently from our High Point, NC hub to delivery locations across the U.S. and Canada.

We pride ourselves on being a non-forced dispatch company, giving drivers the autonomy to choose when they want to drive. Our team culture emphasizes professionalism, courtesy, and the ability to work seamlessly in groups of 3–5 drivers, with one driver per vehicle.

About the Role

This is an Over-The-Road (OTR) Independent Contractor position focused on driving new Thomas Built School Buses. You will join a convoy of 3 to 5 drivers, traveling together from High Point, NC to various delivery points. The role requires staying on the road for multiple days depending on the drop-off location, followed by returning as a group to the starting point.

In this role, you are responsible for the condition of the vehicle during transport and must be punctual for both pick-up and drop-off locations. You will work closely with a Lead Driver, checking in before each trip departs. While you are active on a trip, lodging and fuel costs are covered. Upon delivery, transportation is arranged to return you to High Point, NC.

Hiring Process & Application

To join the team, you must attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC. The application process requires a local road test and verification of your driving history. Please note that Uber, Lyft, and ride-share driving do not count toward the required experience.

Applicants with a completed SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered. Additionally, any accidents in the last 3 years must be supported by an accident report before your application can be processed.

Culture & Requirements

We are looking for drivers who can maintain accurate daily DOT logs using the MOTIVE app (paper logs are not accepted) and who possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL. A Passenger (P) endorsement is preferred. You must have a relatively clean driving report and employment history, including MVR, PSP, CSA, and Clearinghouse records.

As an Independent Contractor, you are expected to act professionally at all times. To remain active on the team, you must complete at least one trip per month. We offer same-day pay for qualified drivers who submit accurate paperwork on time and maintain a clean record during transport.
