About the Team
TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. Our core mission relies on a collaborative approach where Group Drivers travel in convoys of 3–5 drivers, with one driver per vehicle, to deliver buses throughout the U.S. and Canada.
About the Role
This is an Independent Contractor position focused on transporting new school buses from our hub in High Point, NC, to various delivery locations. You will drive as part of a coordinated group, requiring you to check in with a Lead Driver before each trip departs. The role demands a high level of professionalism and teamwork, as you will share responsibilities and workload with your fellow drivers throughout the journey.
While this is an OTR position rather than local or regional, the schedule offers flexibility. We are a non-forced dispatch company, meaning drivers choose when they want to drive with us. However, to remain active, you must complete at least one trip per month. The role may require staying on the road for multiple days depending on drop-off locations, but you will travel back to the pick-up location as a group after completing a delivery.
Hiring Process & Application
Candidates must attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC. The application process requires a local road test and verification of your driving history. Applicants with a completed SAP program must be at least 7 years clear of completion to be considered. Additionally, any accidents in the last 3 years must be supported by an accident report before the application can be processed.
