About the Team
TeamQRT Group has been delivering Thomas Built School Buses since 1980. As a specialized OTR bus transport company, we operate differently than traditional driveaway firms. We pride ourselves on being a non-forced dispatch organization, allowing drivers the autonomy to choose when they want to drive with us.
About the Role
We are seeking Independent Contractors to drive new Thomas Built School Buses in groups of 3–5, with one driver per vehicle. These Over-The-Road (OTR) positions involve transporting buses from our hub in High Point, NC, to delivery locations across the U.S. and Canada. The role requires a team-oriented approach, where drivers travel together, check in with a Lead Driver before departure, and return to the pick-up location as a group after completing a delivery.
This is a dynamic, multi-day road position that demands professionalism and coordination. Drivers must be comfortable working in a team setting, sharing responsibilities, and maintaining accurate DOT logs using the MOTIVE app. To remain active, drivers are required to complete at least one trip per month and attend an in-person onboarding session in High Point, NC.
Hiring Process & Application
Applicants must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL and meet specific experience thresholds regarding verifiable OTR CMV or School Bus driving within the last three years. A local road test is required for those with spotless reports, while those with relatively clean reports must have at least one year of experience. Please note that ride-share driving (Uber, Lyft) does not count toward these requirements.
Candidates with a completed SAP program must be at least seven years clear of completion to be considered. Additionally, any accidents occurring in the last three years must be supported by an accident report before the application can be processed.
