The Treatment Nurse serves as a vital link in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our residents. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, this role is dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of resident care aligns with physician prescriptions, facility policies, and current federal, state, and local regulations. The primary mission is to provide effective and efficient treatment while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.
In this position, you will be the face of our care team for residents and their families. Your day involves more than just administering medication and treatments; it requires a deep commitment to dignity and self-respect for every individual under your care. You will be responsible for observing and assessing wounds and pressure sores, ensuring appropriate management plans are in place to promote healing, and communicating complex care details clearly to families and physicians. Whether assisting with physician visits, updating care plans, or providing reassurance to residents who are upset or in need of support, your patience, caring nature, and professional decorum are essential to the well-being of our community.
We are committed to maintaining a work environment that prioritizes safety, respect, and continuous improvement. As a Treatment Nurse, you will play a key role in our facility's readiness for government surveys and inspections, ensuring we consistently meet all authorized standards. We value staff who are not only skilled in technical procedures but also possess the reasoning ability to solve practical problems and the communication skills to effectively present information to managers, employees, and families.
Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse, along with current CPR certification. Please ensure you are in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and have completed all required continuing education. Applications should highlight your experience in long-term care and your ability to maintain professional standards in a dynamic healthcare setting.
