About the Role
HumanKind is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven professional to join our Treatment Foster Care team as a Recruitment & File Specialist. This role combines foster parent recruitment, community outreach, home study assessments, and compliance management to help ensure children are connected with safe, supportive, and well-prepared foster families.
In this position, you will build strong relationships with prospective foster parents, guiding them through the approval process with professionalism and care. You will conduct thorough home studies, interviews, and assessments that meet Virginia licensing standards while maintaining organized, accurate, and audit-ready files. Your efforts will directly support community outreach and recruitment initiatives to increase awareness of Treatment Foster Care services in Lynchburg and Bedford.
Success in this role involves collaborating effectively with team members, licensing bodies, and community stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery. You will support foster families through ongoing communication and training coordination, staying current on foster care regulations and best practices to support continuous program improvement.
