The Traveling Safety Manager is a pivotal role based out of Hannibal, MO, designed to ensure the safety of personnel and compliance with safety and environmental procedures across local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, and DOT. This position is not remote; it requires approximately 70% of time in the field, traveling to various locations to support our operations.
In this role, you will work closely with management, Site Superintendents, and Supervisors to achieve profitability and productivity goals safely. Your day-to-day involves conducting training, performing observation audits, administering safety programs, and coaching personnel to identify hazards and implement corrective measures. You will hold daily safety meetings, verify Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and work permits, and maintain comprehensive safety files and reports. This position demands a proactive mindset to stay current on OSHA regulations and safety knowledge while fostering a culture of safety across our industrial sites.
