About the Role

This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Rehabilitation to join a 10-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Crescent City, California. The role focuses on managing the patient and family experience through critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive, individualized, and goal-directed nursing care to patients ranging from adults to geriatrics. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs. The nurse will direct the activities of ancillary staff and collaborate with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services to manage care from admission to discharge.

Candidates must be prepared to float to the Medical Care Unit (MCU) or Telehealth department as needed. The position involves night shifts (3x12-hour shifts) and requires the ability to manage patients with complex needs, including those requiring anticoagulation therapy, seizure management, and various assistive devices.

Hiring Process & Requirements

To be considered for this assignment, candidates must meet specific compliance and submission criteria:

• Experience: Two years of experience in an acute healthcare setting and acute rehab care setting are required for submission.
• Licensure & Certifications: A valid California RN license is required at the time of submission. Certifications (BLS, ACLS, and PALS) must be AHA certified and in hand at the time of submission.
• Background & History: A 7-year work history verification is required for all candidates. Candidates must disclose any background hits or DUIs prior to submission.
• Logistics: Candidates must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing. A 50-mile travel requirement applies; locals are accepted at a lower rate.
• Orientation: Orientation includes non-billable e-learning modules (average 1-5 hours). Any time spent on modules exceeding 16 hours is billable.

Please note that only one holiday will be approved for this contract. Candidates who have left the company as a traveler within the last year are not eligible to return immediately.
