Hebrew SeniorLife is dedicated to a mission that honors patient dignity and choice in every aspect of daily life. As a member of the patient care delivery team, you will join a group committed to providing safe, efficient, and high-quality care. The organization fosters a culture where differences in culture, values, and backgrounds are respected, ensuring that every encounter with patients and families is a positive and meaningful experience.
This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical therapy and patient support, operating with a split focus of 75% clinical support and 25% clerical duties. You will work under the professional supervision of therapists to maintain the highest level of function for patients across Inpatient PT, OT, and SLP, as well as Outpatient rehab services, MCU, RSU Rehab, and Circle of Fitness.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of hands-on patient care and administrative support. You will assist in preparing patients for treatment, including transferring, dressing, and positioning, and will lead individual and group sessions such as walking programs and exercise maintenance. In specific areas like the RSU, direct visual supervision is required. Beyond the therapy floor, you will manage departmental equipment, assist with the distribution of assistive devices like wheelchairs, and handle essential record-keeping and clerical tasks. You will also act as a communication hub, reporting patient status changes to primary therapists and collecting mail for the therapy departments when needed.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization's philosophy and values. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals who can exhibit professionalism, maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards, and adapt flexibly to the varying needs of the care environment.
Hebrew SeniorLife is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a healing environment for physical and spiritual needs. We value diversity and strive to build a team that reflects the communities we serve, ensuring that all staff members are treated with mutual respect and trust.
