About the Role

This opportunity is a 13-week travel assignment for a Respiratory Therapist based in Norfolk, Virginia, starting May 19, 2026. The position is set within a geriatric and long-term care environment, focusing on patients with specific respiratory care needs.

In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to optimizing patient comfort, safety, and outcomes. You will assess and treat patients requiring respiratory therapy, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques. The role involves performing routine procedures such as chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and humidification, while monitoring patient responses and adjusting plans under physician orders. Additionally, you will play a key role in educating patients and families on breathing treatments and device use.

The schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts (06:30–19:00) with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. This assignment offers a chance to work in a specialized setting while receiving dedicated support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC throughout your contract.
