About the Role

This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse to join a medical-surgical service in Hilo, Hawaii. The role involves providing direct nursing care for adult patients, including ongoing assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and IV therapy. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, manage discharge planning, and provide patient and family education.

The position is set within a hospital environment that offers a dynamic day-to-day experience. While the primary focus is on the medical-surgical units, the role requires flexibility to float to the Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally the Cardiovascular Unit as staffing needs dictate. You will utilize the Meditech EMR for documentation and operate specialized equipment such as wound VACs and chest tubes. Orientation is provided for each unit to ensure a smooth transition into the team and workflow.
