This position is based in a dynamic Emergency Department at a Level 2 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center. The unit manages a full spectrum of patient populations, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, supported by specialized accreditations in both fields. With 26 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, the team handles critical care scenarios including IV placement, medication administration, critical patient management, sedation assistance, casting, and wound management.
The department culture emphasizes teamwork and mutual appreciation among technicians, nurses, and providers. To support professional growth and competency, the ED maintains its own educators and a dedicated trauma coordinator. In this role, you will collaborate closely with providers, families, and patients to develop and execute comprehensive care plans, ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining the highest standards of patient and staff safety.
