Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma

About the Position

TravelNurseSource is partnering with Cynet Health to recruit a qualified Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room and Trauma unit in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work within a Level IV Trauma Center that also holds Primary Stroke Center designation and accreditation for chest pain management.

The Emergency Department features 21 beds plus a 6-bed annex, serving patients of all ages. The unit operates with a supportive infrastructure, including in-house hospitalists and Emergency Department physicians 24/7, a dedicated health unit coordinator, and on-call RN support for special cases. The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system and provides telemetry monitoring directly from the nursing station.

The unit maintains a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and does not require floating to other units, allowing for focused care delivery.

Application and Onboarding

Candidates must possess a valid RN license and specific certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC/TNS. The onboarding process requires completion of a pharmacology module, a skills checklist, and a specialty exam. Successful applicants will be expected to adhere to professional dress standards, wearing solid, professional scrubs without graphics or logos.
