About the Role
This opportunity places a Registered Nurse as an Infection Prevention Specialist within a regional health system in Sitka, Alaska. The role is designed to support a comprehensive hospital-setting infection prevention program that spans multiple sites. You will serve as a key partner in surveillance, policy development, and staff education, ensuring the safety and compliance of patients and visitors across the network.
In this position, you will lead the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) while collaborating with the Performance Improvement team. A significant portion of your day will involve co-chairing the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) committee, responding to outbreak-like events, and providing essential education to staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires a dynamic professional comfortable with cross-site travel and the ability to adapt to varying hospital environments.
