About the Role
This opportunity places you within a nationally recognized, high-acuity medical center in Asheville, North Carolina. The facility holds a Magnet® Designation and serves as the region's referral center, supporting a Level II trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, and robust surgical programs.
You will join a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) where you will provide direct patient care with a focus on neuro and trauma populations. The role involves managing complex patient needs, including neurological and spinal assessments, chest tube and lumbar drain management, and the administration of blood transfusions and IV therapies. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including Charge Nurses, CNAs, and HUCs, while maintaining flexibility to float to stepdown and med-surgical units as needed.
