About the Role
This Physical Therapy Assistant position is based in a long-term care facility in Fargo, North Dakota. The role is designed to support residents in a nursing home environment under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist. As a travel professional, you will join a team dedicated to improving functional outcomes for geriatric patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility assistance.
This is a temporary, 13-week assignment starting on May 25, 2026. The position operates on a day shift with guaranteed hours, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care while building your travel healthcare career.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide PTA-directed therapy to residents under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- check_circleAdminister therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and manual techniques
- check_circleMonitor patient progress, document session notes, and communicate changes to the care team
- check_circleCollaborate with nursing and rehab staff to integrate rehabilitation goals into daily care plans
- check_circleMaintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy area while ensuring proper equipment operation
- check_circleAssist with transfers, positioning, strength-building, and ROM exercises to improve functional outcomes
Requirements
- verifiedActive Physical Therapy Assistant license in North Dakota or eligible for licensure
- verifiedGraduation from an accredited PTA program
- verifiedAvailability for a 13-week travel assignment
