This is a travel assignment for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The position is located within a long-term care (LTC) nursing home setting, focusing on geriatric populations.
In this role, you will implement physical therapy plan of care components under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your day-to-day will involve conducting and assisting with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks tailored to the needs of elderly residents. You will apply prescribed modalities and assistive devices, ensuring proper technique and safety during therapy sessions. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with the physical therapy, nursing, and other disciplines to coordinate care, ensure safety, and optimize outcomes for residents.
This is a temporary, 13-week assignment starting May 18, 2026. You can expect a structured 5x8 day shift schedule with typical hours from 08:00 to 16:30 and guaranteed hours.
