About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist to join our team at Northwest Houghton Hospital in Tucson, Arizona. This 13-week travel assignment offers a unique opportunity to work independently in a 44-bed acute care facility with an Emergency Department. The role is designed for a pharmacist who thrives in a night-shift environment, managing overnight pharmacy operations with strong clinical judgment and sterile compounding skills.
In this position, you will be the primary pharmacist on duty from Wednesday through Tuesday, working the 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift. You will collaborate with physicians on medication selection and dosing, review patient profiles, and educate nurses and providers on medication therapy. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, as you will manage the pharmacy independently without call requirements, while ensuring strict regulatory compliance and medication safety.
