Camelback Compounding Pharmacy has been serving patients throughout Arizona since 1985. Located in the heart of Arcadia's Camelback Village Shopping Center, we specialize in non-sterile compounding. We take pride in providing high-quality compounded prescriptions in a timely fashion while delivering the highest levels of service to both patients and healthcare providers.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated pharmacy intern to join our specialized compounding team. This position offers hands-on experience in non-sterile compounding, patient care, and pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists. The role is designed to provide comprehensive training in compounding techniques and mentorship from experienced professionals, with the potential for continued employment upon graduation and licensure.
You will work Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with additional hours during the week scheduled to accommodate your academic requirements. This is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a specialized field while contributing to improved patient and provider outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAssist with non-sterile compounding and specialized dosage forms under pharmacist supervision

- check_circleSupport general pharmacy operations including prescription filling, shipping, and payment processing
- check_circleConduct patient and provider consultations on compounded medications and usage instructions
- check_circleSupport prescription processing from intake through preparation, production, and labeling
- check_circleDocument batch records and implement quality control measures
- check_circleManage inventory for compounding supplies and raw materials
Requirements
- verifiedCurrently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program
- verifiedValid Arizona pharmacy intern license
- verifiedBasic computer proficiency
Nice to Have
Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience, coursework in pharmaceutics or compounding, familiarity with USP compounding standards, and bilingual capabilities.
