Key Responsibilities

- check_circleMaintain drug inventory and pharmacy records
- check_circlePerform sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP standards
- check_circleHandle hazardous and controlled medications safely
- check_circleManage unit dosing medications for various patient populations
- check_circleOperate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy equipment
- check_circleCollaborate with hospital staff to meet pharmaceutical care needs
- check_circleTrain and orient new team members to department workflows
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedValid state pharmacy technician registration
- verifiedCertification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or proof that certification is in progress
- verifiedHospital Pharmacy technician work experience preferred
- verifiedExperience in health-care environment preferred
- verifiedKnowledge of USP797 sterile compounding
- verifiedKnowledge of USP795 non-sterile compounding
- verifiedKnowledge of handling hazardous medications
- verifiedKnowledge of unit dosing medications
- verifiedKnowledge of handling controlled medications
- verifiedKnowledge of pharmacy automation
Nice to Have
College courses. Hospital pharmacy technician work experience. Experience in a health-care environment.
