About the Role
This travel assignment focuses on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), specifically covering Trauma Telemetry and Adult Med-Surg. You will provide direct nursing care on a 34-bed unit with day-shift ratios of 1:4–6. The role requires continuously monitoring telemetry rhythms and escalating changes in patient acuity to the Charge RN, Rapid Response team, or providers as appropriate. You will perform and oversee unit procedures including IV fluids, IV antibiotics, tube feeds, and PEG feedings. The position involves collaborating with CNAs, HUCs, and fellow RNs to maintain a patient-centered environment, attending shift huddles, and floating to other med-surg units or the ED holding pod as needed.

Requirements

Nice to Have
Current ACLS certification. Prior experience with Cerner EMR. Experience in a Level II trauma center or high-acuity med-surg environment.
