This opportunity is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), specifically focusing on Cardiac Progressive Care and Stepdown, located in Burlington, Vermont. The role is designed for clinicians with a strong cardiac clinical background who are ready to provide direct nursing care to post-operative cardiac patients, including those on Day 1 post-op CABG.\n In this position, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team collaborating with physicians and case management to develop and implement individualized care plans. The environment requires a high level of clinical acuity, involving the assessment and interpretation of patient status, hemodynamic monitoring, and timely intervention for arrhythmias or decompensation. You will manage IV therapies, drips, pain control, and chest tube management while maintaining accurate documentation in the Epic EMR.
The schedule consists of 3x12-hour night shifts with a required weekend rotation. As part of the team, you may float to like units as needed, requiring flexibility and a commitment to maintaining patient safety and infection control practices across different areas of the hospital.
