BizFirst is a boutique consulting firm dedicated to supporting the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation. We employ consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to drive mission success.
This role is part of the Guardian Support Management Office (GSMO) — Pay, Orders, & Travel Cell within the U.S. Space Force (USSF). The team operates as the central hub for travel pay expertise, ensuring seamless financial operations for assigned personnel.
As a Travel Pay Analyst and Subject Matter Expert, you will serve as the Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) for USSF part-time participants. In this capacity, you will oversee travel entitlements and act as the primary point of contact for complex travel pay matters within the GSMO.
Your day-to-day involves managing the full lifecycle of travel entitlements, including per diem, lodging, and mileage, strictly in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and governing policies. You will provide critical assistance with the Defense Travel System (DTS) and manage order requests through the Air Force Reserve Orders Writing System-Reserve (AROWS-R) for participants in various duty statuses, such as Annual Tour and Inactive Duty Training. Additionally, you will review travel vouchers for payment, monitor UTAPS for accuracy, and ensure timely customer support while maintaining rigorous internal controls for audits and readiness requirements.
Candidates must possess a Secret clearance or higher to access controlled unclassified information (CUI) and DoD facilities. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Interested applicants should submit their qualifications through BizFirst for consideration.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
