We are seeking a DTS Travel Analyst to provide on-personal services for the travel program supporting the Commander, Naval Surface Force, Atlantic (CNSL). This role is based in Norfolk, Virginia, with support extending to Mayport, FL.
In this position, you will serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical, analytical, training, and program support to CNSL. You will be responsible for ensuring travelers complete their authorization documentation in strict accordance with defense travel regulations. Your day-to-day will involve making all necessary travel arrangements, including identifying and reserving proper flights, hotels, and rental cars. You will monitor and track both approved and unapproved travel to ensure arrangements are properly reserved and funded so travelers can accomplish their missions.
You will also ensure that vouchers and sub-vouchers (DD Form 1351-2) are accurately completed in the Defense Travel System (DTS) with requisite supporting receipts. You will provide sound judgment and advice to travelers regarding the accurate completion of various DTS travel documents following internal and external policies. Additionally, you will assist in reviewing all required travel reports and provide expertise to Approving Officials to identify and resolve travel authorization and voucher processing problems.
