TravelNurseSource is partnering with Cynet Health to recruit a dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a 16-week contract in Columbus, Ohio. This role is uniquely focused on caring for patients newly diagnosed with acute leukemia, offering a specialized environment for nurses seeking to deepen their oncology expertise.
The unit operates with a primary staffing ratio of 1:4, occasionally extending to 1:5, and places a heavy emphasis on strict infection prevention and patient fall prevention protocols. As a PCU RN, you will manage a caseload of adult and geriatric patients, utilizing telemetry monitoring to interpret dysrhythmias and manage IV therapy. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a diverse healthcare setting with varying levels of technological advancement, enhancing your technological literacy. You will build a professional network with new colleagues and mentors, potentially opening doors for future career opportunities. The dynamic environment improves clinical judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
