About the Position
TravelNurseSource is partnering with Cynet Health to locate a qualified Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, managing complex patient needs in a telemetry and neuro stepdown setting.
The Role
In this position, you will provide high-level care to patients with complex medical conditions, including sepsis, renal failure, and cardiac issues. You will manage a patient ratio of 1:5, requiring strong clinical judgment to interpret and manage dysrhythmias while delivering pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care. The role demands versatility, as you will be required to float between departments and units as needed. Additionally, you may be assigned Charge RN duties and called upon to perform emergency responses and cardiac monitoring. The environment utilizes virtual nursing and emergency response technology to support patient care delivery.

Application Instructions
To apply for this opportunity, candidates must possess a valid RN license and have 1 to 2 years of experience. Onboarding requires completion of BLS, Pharmacology, a Skills Checklist, and a Specialty Exam. Preferred certifications include ACLS and NIHSS.
