As an RN Resident, you will serve as a vital member of our acute care team, delivering high-quality nursing care to neurological patients. This role exists to ensure that patients receive comprehensive assessments, precise medication administration, and continuous neurological monitoring within a supportive framework. You will be part of a structured residency program designed to foster growth through mentorship, skills labs, and ongoing professional development.
In this position, you will engage in a dynamic day-to-day rhythm that includes responding to emergencies such as stroke alerts and rapid response situations, documenting accurately in the EMR, and educating patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans. You will also have the opportunity to engage in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based projects, contributing to the continuous evolution of our care standards.
Candidates with an active TX RN license or compact RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and completion of an accredited nursing residency (or willingness to complete one upon hire) are encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
