As part of St. David's HealthCare in central Austin, you will deliver patient-centered care in a full-service hospital renowned for its neurology, cardiac services, and robotic surgery. This residency is designed to bridge the gap between academic preparation and advanced clinical practice. You will provide direct neuro-focused acute care, collaborating with an expert interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. The role offers a unique opportunity to build advanced clinical skills through structured training, preceptorship, and ongoing mentorship.
In this position, you will be an integral part of the care continuum, assessing and managing patients with neurological conditions while adhering to evidence-based nursing standards. You will work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, from initial assessment and medication administration to patient education and discharge planning. The environment encourages rapid response to changes in patient condition and active participation in quality improvement initiatives.
