Join the Labor & Delivery team at a Level II maternity facility in Oregon City, OR, where you will support mothers and newborns through a critical 13-week contract. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse seeking to work in a dynamic environment that balances low-risk care with the management of complex obstetrical cases, including pre-eclampsia, gestational hypertension, and multiple gestations. The unit operates as a 14-bed LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) with an on-site operating room, ensuring comprehensive care from admission through discharge.
You will work a 12-hour day shift (07:30 – 19:00) on a 3-days-on, 4-days-off rotation, covering every other weekend. The team adheres to AWHONN staffing standards, maintaining a 1:1 ratio for active labors and 1:3 for postpartum couples. Your day will involve triaging obstetrical patients, managing high-risk deliveries, and providing lactation support and discharge education to families. The unit is equipped with advanced monitoring tools, including EFM and IUPC, and is supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, and rapid response services. While the primary focus is on the L&D unit, you may be required to float to nearby sister facilities or affiliate hospitals within the region.
