Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit

About the Position

TravelNurseSource is partnering with AMN Healthcare to locate a qualified Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic 29-bed medical stepdown unit known as 3S Comp-Med Stepdown.

The unit specializes in caring for patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure (CHF), and other low-risk cardiac or chest pain diagnoses. Beyond cardiac care, the team provides comprehensive medical services to patients requiring cardiac monitoring across cardiology, renal, endocrinology, general medicine, pulmonology, gastroenterology, and oncology. The environment is highly specialized, with staff undergoing specific training in non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and A-PAP), infusion therapy, transfusions, injections, and central line care. As a dedicated stroke unit, all Registered Nurses on 3 South are required to be NIH Stroke Scale certified.
