Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit

About the Position

Cynet Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team in Salem, OR. This 13-week contract role focuses on providing high-quality care for adult inpatients in a short-term acute care setting with 569 staffed beds. The position serves as a vital support system for the facility, requiring flexibility to float across all adult inpatient units as needed to meet patient care demands.

Day in the Life

As a Night Shift RN working a 4x12 schedule, you will manage a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:6, overseeing complex cases that require strong telemetry and intermediate care expertise. Your day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting cardiac rhythms, managing dysrhythmias, and administering cardiac drips. You will be the first line of defense for rapid response activations, utilizing skills in non-invasive airway management, BiPAP/CPAP, and chest tube care. The role demands proficiency with Epic for charting and the ability to navigate a variety of patient diagnoses while maintaining strict isolation precautions and PPE standards.

Hiring Process & Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess an active Oregon RN license (pending licenses are accepted) and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications. We require at least one year of recent experience in PCU or IMC settings; first-time travelers are not accepted for this position. Successful onboarding includes completing mandatory modules on Pharmacology and a Specialty Exam, alongside a Skills Checklist verification.
